This past week, August 6-9 2018, the enrollment team stepped away from our desks to gather for our annual retreat.
Admissions and Financial Aid counselors from Santa Fe joined those of us on the Annapolis campus for some serious team building, travel planning, and creative brainstorming. Our enrollment team strives to be friendly, personalized, student-focused, and helpful throughout each step of the college search and enrollment process. We do not hold back any secrets. For that reason, below is the inside scoop of what went on “behind closed doors”:
As you can see, we also built in some time for fun. Outings included:
- A tour of the Paca House (It’s old! One of the historic homes in downtown Annapolis.)
- Open boating at our St. John’s Boathouse
- Bowie Baysox Baseball Game (the Baysox lost, but that’s ok, we still had a lot of fun!)
- Dinners at local eateries (Please ask us for food recommendations! We love sharing our favorite restaurants, cafes, ice cream shops, etc.)
It can be difficult working in two different offices and in two different time zones. This annual retreat gives us the face-to-face time that is so needed as we work together to share St. John’s College with those around us. This time is also rejuvenating and energizing as we prepare to meet with counselors, teachers, and potential Johnnies on the road this fall!
For now check our travel calendar to see which member of our staff will be coming to a town near you: https://admissions.sjc.edu/portal/sjc-on-the-road
