The 250 new Johnnies in the freshman class come from 28 countries (from Australia to Zambia, China, Mexico, Finland, and beyond) and 34 states (from California to Maine and nearly everywhere in between).  They were at the top of their high school classes. These new Johnnies include a 16 year old and a 39 year old, 4 veterans, 36% students of color, 12% first generation college students, 22% Pell eligible students, and 17 with Johnnie parents themselves. In their applications, they wrote about favorite books from The Aeneid to Harry Potter.
